The November 2007 edition [pdf: 943kB] of the CSANZ newsletter is now out. All NZ ICT students should have received this from their respective departments. On the first page is a write-up by our General Chair about the NZCSRSC’08 conference. For a write-up of the NZCSRSC’07, see the previous newsletter – June 2007 [pdf: 386kB]. More about the Computer Science Association of New Zealand and previous newsletters can be found at the CSANZ website.
Authors start your (pen/keyboard/stylus) engines! Ok, well maybe not your engines, but start writing! ... The Call for Papers has gone out to all NZ universities, and we're expecting long (8pages) and short (4 pages) papers from postgraduate students. Tell us about your research. Papers must include your own work; it does not have to be completed work. This is a great opportunity to get experience in the writing, submission, review, and presentation processes.
A “guide for authors” [PDF: 8kB] written by the NZCSRSC 2007 Committee has been made available to authors. This includes details on what makes for a good NZCSRSC paper. It is definitely worth reading prior to the writing process.
