• BuildIT

  

  BuildIT is a project funded via the New Zealand government and is designed to develop the ICT research community within NZ, with particular focus on excellence in young and emerging researchers.

  One goal of the project is to increase the number of postgraduate ICT researchers in New Zealand by providing research grants and specific scholarships. It also supports ICT postgraduate students in NZ by providing resources such as seed funding for developing research activity. Another need addressed is the lack of cohesion in this sector. One of the main ways of doing so is by supporting forums such as the NZCSRSC, which aid in building collaborative networks amongst researchers.

  Currently BuildIT is administered by Auckland University and Waikato University.

• NZi3, New Zealand's ICT Innovation Institute

  

  NZi3 is the national ICT Innovation Institute based at the University of Canterbury. The Institute is a 'hothouse' of strategic ICT research and aims to be a globally-recognised innovation centre that transforms ideas from the lab, across the innovation gap, into industry.
